Child Abuse Prevention Month – Charleston, SC Activities

Beginning this weekend, residents of Charleston and the surrounding areas have two unique opportunities to participate in National Child Abuse Prevention Month. On April 13, 27, and May 11, Darkness to Light and The Dee Norton Lowcountry Children’s Center will be offering free community trainings. Participants will learn about types of child abuse, what trauma is and how it affects children, and how to prevent, treat, and report incidents. The Citadel and Darkness to Light join forces to combat child sexual abuse

College to be first in nation to adopt prevention training program for all employees and students  The Citadel today became the first college in the nation to announce its intentions to train every student, employee and campus resident in how to prevent child sexual abuse. Prevention Month – The Busiest Week so Far!

We have made it to day 20 of our prevention month efforts, and we’re just ending our busiest week of the month. It was a crazy one filled with lots of exciting events, and moments of pride in our community for their dedication to ending child sexual abuse. Battery Game Saturday Night-Come Support D2L!

Prevention Month So Far – What a great first week!
