Foothills YMCA makes first step toward Partner

If you read our blog on a regular basis you surely have seen all of the amazing prevention work happening with the different YMCAs across the country. Recently we had the opportunity to speak with the South Carolina Y Alliance during their retreat. What a great group of people! Chicks with Sticks

Facilitators from Carroll, Heard, and Haralson Counties in Georgia are now a part of the newly named West Georgia Partners to Prevent. During a recent Stewards training a Carrollton knitting group, Chicks with Sticks, knitted these facilitators (pictured below) green scarves to show their appreciation for the unified group. West Georgia Partners to Prevent have trained over 300 students at the University of West Georgia! They have also made trainings mandatory for early childhood education students and counselors. Berkeley Schools first in nation to set standard for child sexual abuse prevention

Prevent-a-Thon Kickoff & Partners in Prevention

This Monday we kicked off our annual Prevent-a-Thon with a press conference at the Charleston Public Library. We were joined by our first ever Partners in Prevention! A Partner in Prevention is an organization that has committed the time and effort to educate themselves on how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to CSA.
