A mandated reporter is a person who is required by law to report suspicions of child abuse or neglect to the proper designated authorities. Reporting Failure Leads to Criminal Prosecution

Last week, charges were filed against a Texas teacher and several administrators in response to a disclosure of child sexual abuse. YMCAs Launch Statewide Initiative to Keep Kids Safe

YMCAs throughout New Jersey, including the Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges, have joined forces with Darkness to Light to help educate adults in NJ on how to prevent child sexual abuse. New Jersey YMCA State Alliance Honors Darkness to Light

Last night at the annual New Jersey YMCA State Alliance Banquet, Darkness to Light was named this year’s Social Responsibility Champion! The NJ YMCA State Alliance has a goal of training 83,000 adults.  They will kick off their official online training initiative on October 23rd.
